Itinerary — Stop by Stop
08:00–08:30 — Hotel pickup. A private air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your accommodation — an earlier window than the shared trip, to maximize the chance of a dolphin sighting.
~09:00 — Private speedboat departure. Safety briefing, life jackets for everyone, then an exclusive crossing towards the Khanom coastline, roughly 25–30 minutes.
Pancake Rock & dolphin search. The captain sets the pace around your group's request — no coordinating with another boat — slowing by the layered Pancake Rock sea cliff and cruising the zone where pink dolphins are seen most often.
Koh Tan — snorkeling (~20 min). The boat anchors at the reef off Koh Tan. Mask and snorkel are provided.
Koh Madsum / Pig Island — beach time (~20 min). A short hop to the white sand beach where the island's pigs roam freely. The Pig Island entrance fee is already included in your tour price.
~14:00–15:00 — Return & lunch. A traditional Thai lunch is served near the departure pier, then hotel drop-off.
What to Expect on the Private Pink Dolphin Tour Day Trip
Expect the same three genuinely different stops as our shared Pink Dolphin trip — mainland scenery and wildlife, reef snorkeling, and beach time with the pigs of Koh Madsum — but with the boat run exclusively for your own group and a schedule your captain adjusts to your pace rather than a fixed shared timetable. The dolphins are wild and free-swimming, so a sighting is common but never guaranteed on any tour, private or shared. Between stops the boat covers open water, so the ride can be bouncy on a windy day.

Private Pink Dolphin Tour: Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a private charter?
Yes. The speedboat is exclusively for your group for the whole trip — Khanom, Koh Tan and Koh Madsum.
Will I see dolphins on this tour?
Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins live in the waters off Khanom year-round. Sightings are common but not guaranteed, as they are wild animals — the same disclaimer applies to the private and shared versions of this tour.
How is a private charter priced?
It is sold per boat, not per person. Choose the group-size tier that fits your party (up to 5, or 6 to 10 guests) and the whole boat is exclusively yours.
Is lunch included?
Yes. A traditional Thai lunch is included near the departure pier, together with drinking water and fresh fruit on board.
Is snorkeling equipment included?
Yes. Mask and snorkel are provided for the reef stop at Koh Tan, and life jackets are on board for every guest.
Is there an extra fee at Pig Island?
No. The 50 THB per person Koh Madsum island fee is included in your tour price.
What is the difference from the shared Pink Dolphin tour?
Same three stops — Khanom/Pancake Rock, Koh Tan and Koh Madsum — but on this version the boat is exclusively for your group, pickup is earlier, and the schedule adjusts to your pace instead of a fixed shared departure.
Where does this tour depart from?
The charter departs from a pier in the south of Koh Samui. Private hotel pickup is included from all major areas of the island.
Other Private Pink Dolphin Tour Tours from Koh Samui
Have a private speedboat and crew take you across to the Khanom coastline to search for wild Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins — the "pink dolphins" that turn pale pink with age — then continue at your own pace to photograph the layered "Pancake Rock" sea cliff, snorkel the reef at Koh Tan and spend beach time with the free-roaming pigs of Koh Madsum (Pig Island) with TourInKohSamui.com. It is the same three-stop route as our popular shared-boat trip, run exclusively for your own group with no other passengers on board.
Because the boat is private, the captain sets the schedule around your group instead of a fixed shared departure — more time wherever you want it, less where you don't. Hotel pickup, snorkeling equipment, lunch and the Koh Madsum island fee are all included, with no hidden costs.
Prefer the shared version at a lower per-person price? See our Pink Dolphin Tour from Koh Samui – Khanom, Pancake Rock & Pig Island join-in day trip, the same three stops on a shared speedboat.
Only interested in the Koh Tan reef and the pigs, without the Khanom dolphin crossing? Our shared Pig Island and Koh Tan snorkeling speedboat day trip from Koh Samui is the shorter, lower-priced option that stays on the Samui side of the gulf.
Set on Koh Madsum and the Koh Tan reef but not sure which boat suits your group? You can compare every Pig Island tour from Koh Samui on one page — the shared snorkeling speedboat day trip, the sunset evening boat, two private longtail options and the half-day private speedboat charter — side by side with their "From" prices.
