About This Tour
This is an ethical rescue sanctuary where former working elephants live freely without riding, tricks or shows. Choose the program that fits your schedule: a full half‑day experience with feeding, a jungle walk, mud bath time and a vegetarian meal, a focused feeding session, or an educational museum and jungle walk. Every option includes hotel pickup and drop‑off so you can simply relax and enjoy your time with the elephants.

Half‑Day Program (Morning or Afternoon) — 3 Hours
The most complete experience at Samui Elephant Home. You prepare supplement food, feed the elephants, walk alongside them into the jungle, watch them play in the mud and help shower them with water. Includes a vegetarian meal at the camp before returning to your hotel.
Feeding Program — 1 Hour
A shorter visit focused on making supplement food and feeding the elephants directly. Ideal if you have limited time or want to combine with other activities the same day.
Museum & Jungle Walk — 2 Hours
A deeper educational experience. Visit the on‑site elephant museum, learn about elephant history in Thailand, craft seed bombs to grow future elephant food, then walk alongside the elephants into the jungle to watch them forage naturally.

Pickup & Arrival: Your driver collects you from your hotel and brings you to Samui Elephant Home. On arrival, the team welcomes you with an introduction about the sanctuary, the elephants' backgrounds and the day's activities.
Food Preparation: Using fruit, rice and natural ingredients, you prepare vitamin‑rich supplement balls that the elephants love.
Feeding Time: Offer the food directly to the elephants while staff ensure safe, respectful interaction. Plenty of time for photos.
Jungle Walk (Half‑Day & Museum): Walk alongside the elephants into the nearby forest to see them browse, eat and behave naturally in their own habitat. No riding at any point.
Mud Bath & Shower (Half‑Day Only): Watch the elephants roll in mud to protect their skin, then help spray them clean with a water hose — one of the most memorable moments of the day.
Meal & Farewell: Sit down for a vegetarian meal at the camp (half‑day program), then say goodbye and transfer back to your hotel.

Feeding Program: Late morning (around 11:00–12:00). Pickup approximately 1 hour before.
Museum & Jungle Walk: Morning (09:30–11:30) or Afternoon (14:30–16:30). Pickup before program start.
Total Duration: Varies by program — approximately 2–4 hours including transfers.
Ethical Sanctuary: No elephant riding, tricks or forced bathing. All activities are observation‑based and focused on the elephants' welfare. The elephants choose when to rest, eat or bathe.
Who It Suits: Families, couples and travellers of all ages who want meaningful, respectful time with elephants. Very young children should be closely supervised on jungle walks and near water.
Fitness Level: Easy to moderate. Expect walking on uneven jungle terrain for the half‑day and museum programs. The feeding program requires minimal walking.

Is there elephant riding?
No. This is a fully ethical sanctuary. There is no riding, no shows, and no tricks of any kind.

Yes. All activities are gentle and hands-on. Children enjoy feeding and walking with the elephants.

How long is this program?
The program runs approximately 3 hours on site (09:00–12:00 or 14:00–17:00), plus hotel transfer time.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from all major areas on Koh Samui.
What should I wear?
Wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy, especially if you join the mud bath. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. A change of clothes is a good idea.
