1. Overview
Tour In Koh Samui acts as a booking agent between you (the customer) and independent local tour operators, boat captains, sanctuaries, activity providers and other third-party suppliers across Koh Samui and surrounding islands.
Because each experience is delivered by a local operator, cancellation windows and refund terms may vary by tour type. This policy outlines the standard rules that apply to all bookings made through tourinkohsamui.com. Where a specific product page states different terms, the product-level terms take priority.
Key principle: We want flexibility to be simple. Cancel within the allowed window and you pay nothing. Cancel late or don’t show up, and the full amount is charged because the operator has already reserved your spot, vehicle, boat or guide.
2. Cancellation Windows by Tour Type
All times are local Thailand time (ICT, UTC+7). The cancellation deadline is counted back from your confirmed pickup time or tour start time.

3. How to Cancel or Change Your Booking
To cancel or request a date/time change, contact Tour In Koh Samui using any of the following methods:

Please include your booking reference, full name, tour name and tour date so we can locate your reservation quickly.
Date & Time Changes
If you want to move your tour to a different date or time slot rather than cancel entirely:
- Changes requested within the free cancellation window are free of charge and subject to availability.
- Changes requested after the cancellation deadline are treated as a late cancellation. A new booking at full price may be required.
- Same-day changes are generally not possible for private charters, luxury yachts, small-group experiences and activities that require advance preparation (e.g., Enduro Dirt Bike, Ultimate Buggy).
4. Refund Process
Eligible Cancellations
If you cancel within the free cancellation window, you are entitled to a full refund (100%) of the amount paid.
How Refunds Are Issued
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Processing time is typically 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider. Tour In Koh Samui initiates the refund within 1–2 business days of confirming the cancellation.
- If you paid via bank transfer or alternative method, we will confirm the refund route with you directly.
Partial Refunds
Tour In Koh Samui does not offer partial refunds for late arrivals, early departures, unused portions of a tour or optional activities you chose not to participate in during the experience.
Currency note: All tour prices are listed in Thai Baht (THB). Refunds are issued in THB. Any exchange-rate differences between the time of purchase and the time of refund are outside our control and are not compensated.
5. Weather & Safety Cancellations
The safety of our guests and crew always comes first. Tours may be cancelled or rescheduled by the local operator due to:
- Unsafe sea conditions, strong winds or heavy storms
- Official weather warnings issued by Thai authorities
- National park closures or restricted access
- Road or trail conditions that make land-based tours unsafe
- Any other condition the operator or captain judges to pose a safety risk
Your Options When Weather Cancels a Tour
If the operator cancels due to weather or safety, you will be offered:
- Reschedule to another available date during your stay (subject to availability), or
- Full refund if no suitable alternative date can be arranged.
The decision to cancel for weather or safety is made by the local operator or captain, and is final. Tour In Koh Samui fully supports these decisions and will not override them.
Please note: Light rain, overcast skies or mild wind alone do not normally result in cancellation. Boat and land tours operate in a range of conditions. If you choose not to attend because of weather the operator considers safe, standard cancellation terms apply.
6. No-Shows & Late Arrivals
No-Shows
If you do not appear at the confirmed pickup point at the confirmed time and have not contacted us in advance, this is considered a no-show. No-shows are charged the full tour price (100%) with no refund.
Late Arrivals
Drivers and boats wait a limited time after the scheduled pickup. If you are running late, contact us immediately using the number on your booking confirmation. We will do our best to accommodate short delays, but:
- Shared tours and boats cannot wait beyond a few minutes without affecting other guests.
- Private charters have more flexibility, but extended delays may shorten your tour without a price adjustment.
- If the tour departs without you due to a late arrival you did not communicate, it is treated as a no-show.
7. Special Cases
Group Bookings (6+ Guests)
For group bookings of six or more guests, we may apply a 48-hour cancellation window regardless of tour type, because operators reserve additional resources in advance. This will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
National Park Fees & Third-Party Entrance Charges
Some tours include entrance fees paid directly on arrival (e.g., Angthong Marine Park, Koh Nang Yuan). These fees are collected by the park or island authority, not by Tour In Koh Samui. If you cancel the tour, any fees already paid on-site are non-refundable and must be claimed directly from the authority that collected them.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend all guests carry travel insurance that covers activity cancellations, medical costs and emergency evacuation. Certain high-risk activities (e.g., Enduro Dirt Bike Tour) specifically require guests to have their own travel insurance covering motorised sports. Tour In Koh Samui is not liable for costs that would normally be covered by travel insurance.
Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied or you have a concern about how your cancellation was handled, please email us at southasiatourprovider@gmail.com with your booking details. We review every case individually and aim to respond within 48 hours.
